This was a special cake- made for Rachelle's birthday. We alternated our chocolate cake recipe with the vanilla cake recipe below. We put chocolate ganache in between the layers to give an extra level of lusciousness. Hope you enjoy!
Vanilla Cake Recipe
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 1/4 Cup Milk
Preheat the Oven to 180°C
Mix butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla and milk. Then in a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Then add all the dry ingredients into the wet and mix well. Pour into a greased 9 x 12 pan or a round baking tin (around 9 inch). Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.
